The tomato test
It's the first thing you'll try. Take a ripe tomato and don't press: let the weight of the knife do the work. Blunt, the skin dents and splits. Sharp, the knife drops straight through.

Before you buy
What does it sharpen?
Chef's knives, santokus, paring, utility and carving knives, in stainless or carbon steel, European or Japanese double-bevel.
What doesn't it sharpen?
Serrated bread knives, scissors, ceramic knives and single-bevel Japanese knives.
Will it damage my knives?
No. The magnet holds the angle steady and the diamond disc takes off only as much metal as it needs. Pull-through sharpeners remove far more.
Where does it ship from?
From our manufacturing partner's warehouse outside the UK. All taxes are included in the price, so there's nothing to pay on delivery.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason, and we'll refund you in full without asking for the kit back.
